Your site needs to be carefully structured and content carefully considered to achieve the best placing. Organic (natural) top spots can't be guaranteed, though you can pay for a sponsored listing or use 'pay per click' advertsing.

Your site has to be easily found, but there is little point achieving a first page ranking for a search term that is rarely used!

If you are offered a 'guaranteed' organic top spot then think carefully about which search term you will be achieving your top spot for - possibly a term that is rarely used!
